2009 Schedule of Events

Pinehurst Dressage Schooling Shows

...take dressage and put it to work with Sport Horse Versatility.

 

Show Dates:  January 4 and 18, February 1 and 15

Sport Horse Versatility Two-Phase - A two-phase class designed to show the refinement and teamwork between horse and rider.  The Refined Riding Phase is a dressage test, see below for available tests offered.  The Working Phase is an obstacle course of 6-9 elements.  $50/class includes a dressage test and obstacle course.  Dressage test ridden in the Refined Riding Phase will also count towards the Dressage only portion of the show.

Dressage tests* offered for this class: Intro B, Training 3 or Second 1.  On entry form, indicate which dressage test you will be riding.  SHV class(es) will be split as entries warrant. 

* This show venue has multiple rings.  In order for the Refined Riding Phase to be scored by the same judge, pre-selected tests are required.

 

In-Hand Versatility -   Exhibitors will show their horses in-hand over 6-9 obstacles at a walk and trot.  Exhibitors may use a leather, nylon or rope halter.  No stud chains.  Exhibitors may be asked to lead their horse from the left or right side.    $25/class.  This is an in-hand class only.  It does not include a dressage test.

The versatility obstacle courses will be open for schooling after the conclusion of all judged rides.
